Milford NJ man charged with theft in alleged no-show excavation job

A 46-year-old Milford man is facing up to 10 years in prison for allegedly stealing nearly $170,000 from another resident in a no-show excavation job, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renee Robeson said.

Jason Narbonne, also known as Jason Falzone, was charged Dec. 10 with one count of second-degree theft by deception.

Narbonne, the owner of NSS Site Service Limited, made an agreement in January 2023 with a 57-year-old Milford resident to clear a property of trees for the installation of a modular home and in October 2023, he requested funds for materials, Robeson said.

The 57-year-old man discovered that the property was never inspected, no permits were obtained, and no work had been completed.

The alleged theft was reported to police in October. Narbonne is facing 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $150,000.
